Which route applies when the husband gives Talaq?

Use the Certificate of Talaq route. The husband pronounces or confirms Talaq. The Council verifies the marriage and identities, advises on timing so the pronouncement is not طلاق بدعي, explains idda and the associated matters, and issues a PDF religious certificate where the requirements are met. The fee is £200. ISCN-provided witnesses are £50 each if needed.

What is the Khulu’ route?

Khulu’ is initiated by the wife and concluded only if the husband agrees. She does not have to disclose reasons or prove fault. No witnesses are required. The fee is £500.

What is the Faskh route?

Faskh is initiated by the wife for stated reasons. She provides evidence. The Council assesses the case, the husband may respond, and scholars decide. Where it helps, ISCN may refer her to a psychologist for an independent assessment that can support the file. That report does not decide Faskh. The complete fee is £750. Payment covers assessment and casework, not a purchased outcome.

Does an ISCN religious divorce certificate change UK civil status?

No. An ISCN religious certificate does not itself create or replace a UK civil divorce, court order or change of UK civil status. ISCN is a Sharia Council. It is not part of the British court system.

Which Islamic divorce service are you applying for? Required Khulu’ (£500): the wife asks to end the marriage without disclosing reasons, and the husband agrees. No witnesses.
