Choose the route that fits your need
Consultancy is the umbrella service. ISCN may reclassify the suitable tier after initial review; choosing a consultation does not automatically create a formal written Fatwa.
Consultation
For any initial consultancy: Khulu’, Faskh, marital advice or general questions. Where your question needs formal scholarly review, the Council may recommend a published Fatwa tier.
- Consultation Initial Assessment — £50
Formal Fatwa
For a question that may require formal scholarly research and a written Fatwa review. Apply for a published tier directly, or begin with the Consultation Initial Assessment and the Council will advise whether a tier is suitable.
- Fatwa Tier 0 — £150
- Fatwa Tier 1 — £350
- Fatwa Tier 2 — £700
- Fatwa Tier 3 — £1,000
- Fatwa Tier 4 — £1,300

Formal Fatwa review is provided through five published tiers. The £50 Consultation Initial Assessment is the first step for any other consultancy.
Consultation Initial Assessment — £50
Start with the £50 Consultation Initial Assessment for any initial consultancy, including Khulu’, Faskh, marital advice or general questions. The £50 Consultation Initial Assessment is a separate professional service and is not deducted from any later fee, including a Fatwa tier fee.

Tiers increase with complexity, evidence, research, scholarly consideration, urgency and the number of issues involved. Delivery periods begin after the required information and the relevant Fatwa fee have been received. A timeframe may be adjusted where further evidence, specialist input or clarification is required. Genuinely exceptional matters may still be quoted separately; the standard system recognises all five Fatwa tiers above.
